Dinner Time!!!

Thinking of doing something special for dinner tonight? If you like Italian food and want the best in food and ambience, Pomodori Ristorante is your answer. They are located on the corner of 7th and Maple St. next to the post office. Best to phone for reservations 902-2525 as they are a small and busy place. The Chicken Pomodori is one of my favorites. If you are buying, let me know and I’ll clear my schedule.

Lets Talk About Lunch

Lunch and recess were my best subjects in school. I’m still good at lunch but have traded recess for naptime. Today I want to mention three of my favorites here in Florence Oregon. For Chinese food, my favorite is Chen’s Family Dish.(Chen's family dish in Florence Oregon has moved. Chen's just opened May 4Th 2009 in their new location at 3620 hwy 101.) Phone 902-2020. They have some lunch specials for less than $7.00, and I have never had a bad meal there! For Mexican food, my favorite is Los Compadres located at 397 Hwy 101. Phone 997-1647. Come hungry, the platters are huge. If you like fish and chips the Seafood Station is the place, located at 1136 Hwy 101. Phone 997-8630. All these places also serve supper. Time for a Change

The politicians running for president are all saying its time for a change. I changed to a new house recently. Changing wives is bad idea. That leaves changing jobs. Great Breakfast Places in Florence Oregon

Dunes Café, located in the True Value parking lot, is the right choice if you need a big breakfast or you need big rig parking. They open at 5am and have large platters. Most Saturdays they have a prime rib breakfast special. If you’re looking for something a little different, Benny’s is an excellent choice. Located at the corner of 15th and Hwy 101, you can’t miss the aqua colored building. Try the pinto beans on biscuits, its better than it sounds. You can’t go wrong with the Benny’s scramble or the Eggs Benedict. Benny’s opens at 7am. They are sometimes closed on Tuesdays.
Another favorite of mine when it comes to a great spanish omolette and flax seed toast is Natures Corner located in one end of the Light House Inn Motel near the bridge. These are my favorite breakfast picks, and I hope they will become yours.

This blog is a new thing for me and for little old Florence Oregon.

I intend to cover the best places to eat, the best things to see and the best stuff to do here in our little slice of coastal heaven. Also I will probably let slip a few things NOT to do while here in Florence.
